Visual Fault Locator (VFL)

A Visual Fault Locator (VFL) is a handheld fiber optic testing tool used to quickly identify faults, breaks, bends, and connector issues in optical fiber cables. It emits a bright red laser (typically 650 nm) that travels through the fiber, allowing technicians to visually locate damaged sections, verify fiber continuity, and identify individual fibers during installation and maintenance.
